Wind Tamer

Project Overview
I was tasked with creating a temporary webpage for a kennel that operated for a specific duration. The owner, having one dog, intended to sell soon-to-be puppies. The project required a simple and bright design, and there was no need for a content management system (CMS). I believe that was one of the first projects where I not only designed but also coded (HTML & CSS).
My Inspiration
The breed, Pointer, is typically bi-colored, and our star, Grappa, was white with orange patches. I chose these colors as the main swatches, using the shape of the patches for different components. To enhance contrast and prevent the page from appearing bland, I slightly darkened the colors. Inspired by the majority of the photos I had, I introduced another color that harmonized well with the existing palette: grass-green.

Below there are two columns, on the right there is a photo of a white dog with brownish orange patches, it has its mouth open in a sort of a smile. It seats on a green long grass. In the left column there is a basic information about the dog, the kennel and the tile it holds.
About the project

2012
As the page was intended to be simple and straightforward, I opted for a one-page site with anchors and a fixed menu. I selected two fonts for the project: Trebuchet MS for a sans-serif look and Segoe Script for a more playful touch.

For the Home Page, I featured a prominent photo of Grappa accompanied by important information, essentially creating a business card.

The second anchor led to more detailed information about 'Grappa,' including two pictures, links to her lineage, and details about the shows she attended. When the puppies were born, I activated a dedicated page with information about each one. This page included lineage details, pictures of the parents in their show positions and headshots, and, of course, images of the puppies. Each time a puppy was born, I updated the availability information. The grid for the project was kept simple.

Despite its potential to appear a bit outdated, I thoroughly enjoyed working on this project. I appreciate the composition and the overall feel of the site.
