About the project
Graphic Design
2014
I distinctly recall that one of the concepts I imagined for the website, in addition to the menu idea, was to give it the appearance of a piece of paper. While I didn't receive specific directives from the customer, she had all the necessary texts ready for the site, along with a clear vision of the pages she wanted. This made it easier for me to design all the elements.
To achieve the paper-like look, I positioned the main picture as if it were printed and lying on the paper. This served as a starting point. Incorporating a news feed and a small gallery on the Home Page, I introduced the idea of bookmarks, creating a 3D effect. However, I had to abandon the photo effect for the gallery on the right of the Home Page because it turned out to be excessive. Regrettably, I didn't anticipate that this effect wouldn't work well on the Gallery page itself.
Among the challenging elements to design were complicated tables that needed to be integrated into the page, such as those for the lineage. These had to be both neat and simple, given their editability in the CMS (see below).
